Frere Hall

In 1865, a building was constructed in Karachi during British Era called frère Hall. This building is used as a Library. This building was situated in Saddar town. Saddar town is located in central Karachi. Henry Saint Clair Wilkins was the architect of this building.2000 British Indian rupee was the total amount that was used to buy the land for this building. WP Andrew of the Scinde Railway and Sir Frederick Arthur Bartholomew was the men who give the amount that was used to buy the land of this building. The architect of this building was made by Venetian-Gothic. Yellow-tined limestone, red and Gray sandstone was used in the construction of this building. The Roof of this hall is made up of a metal called  Muntz metal. There are two Laws outside of the hall and during the British era the one lawn is called Queen Lawn and the other Lawn is called King Lawn. After independence, the lawn was called Bagh-e-Jinnah, or Jinnah Gardens.

National Library of Pakistan

A Building was constructed on Constitutional Avenue called the National Library of Pakistan. the national library was situated on Constitutional Avenue. Constitutional Avenue is a road in Islamabad.  The National Library was built in 1950. This library was housed in the department of Ministry of education and the combined with Liaquat National Library. The design of this library was based on Eastern Architect. The national library situated in Islamabad is so huge and has a space of almost 500 readers to study in this library. This library contains 15 research rooms. An auditorium is also built in this library and this auditorium contains 450 seats.

Punjab Public Library Lahore

A building was situated in Lahore on 8 November 1884 called  Government Punjab Public Library. In 1939, many other blocks were constructed in the library and in 1968 two more sections called, auditorium and Bat-e—Quran was built in this library.This library was constructed on a library road near the Lahore museum. English, Urdu, Persian, Arabic, and Punjabi and all kinds of books are present in this library. The following sections are present in the library:

  2. Technical section
  3. Circulation section
  4. Reference section
  5. The Bait-ul-Quran
  6. Children's section
  7. Oriental section
  8. Computer section and e-library
  9. AVA Section

Masood Jhandir Research Library

In village Sardar Pur Jhandir a building was constructed called Masood Jhandir Research Library. This small village is located in Mailsi. Mailsi is present in Vehar which is the District of Punjab province in Pakistan.in 1899; Masood Jhandir Research Library was built. This library was built by a poet and scholar and the name of the poet is Malik Ghulam Muhammad. This library was considered the largest private library that was situated in a village. The total area that was covered by this library is 21000 square feet. This library contains 8 spacious hall and huge rooms including an auditorium, committee room, multimedia workstation, reception hall, and office. There is a park outside of this library and the total area covered by this park is 5000 acres. This library contains a total of 360,000 books.

Central Library Of Bahawalpur

A building was constructed on CMH choke called the Central Library of Bahawalpur. Another name of this building is Saddiq reading library. The total cost that was used in the construction of this building is  100,000. This library was constructed during the time of Sadeq Mohammad Khan V. The architect of this building was based on hybrid Neo-Gothic - Victorian style. The oldest edition of the newspaper is present in this library. The total number of books present in this library is 1000000. There are three sections in this library
  1. Main Hall
  2. Children section
  3. Audiovisual archive section
